Well, a lot of sheets are translucent; My bedsheets are black, but if I put my eyes against it, I can see just fine. It's a little fuzzy, but at least I can probably see my way around, but only if it was bright. Of course, eye holes might help.
And, because I had failed to do this earlier, here's my personal favourite appearance of bedsheet ghosts:
They show up on occasion in the video in choir form.
Yeah, but you have to consider the fact that ghosts wander around in low light situations. Therefore anything that inhibits the vision would be a problem. On the other hand I guess, being a spirit and all, they don't really need to worry about bumping into things.
I like your bedsheet ghosts though.

Maybe simply to hide the fact that they are not actually ghosts, but humans with a face, body, and everything else.

If you pause the video at 3:20, you should see some kind of a transparent/glowing face of a person in the background.
And funnily, some Muslims (but not me) believe that this is an evidence for the existence of Jinn.

I can't help but feel if the Ghost Hunters weren't frauds then they would go to the scientific community, get proclaimed geniuses and given the Nobel prize for proving the supernatural real.

I seriously hope that video is a parody because it's obviously very fake. Would be more convincing if the "ghost" didn't have a sheet over itself. It's easy enough to fake footage like that. Take some footage of the hallway, then take some more footage with the "ghost" walking by, and splice them together to make it look like you can see through the "ghost."
And nice touch with the Adidas sneakers. I guess the Heaven's Gate people didn't make it to the other side with their Nike's.
