Im not sure how believing in miracles makes me a jerk.

Whats more of a miracle is for Atheist to try and explain the existence of the universe, morality, the origin of life, without God, and expect it to somehow make sense. Thats what a miracle.

You are incapable of any sort of reasonable conversation.

I havent said anything to suggest that. I am confused. Can you explain yourself?

If you believe in fucking miracles, you are a jerk. Period.

Fine. Thats your opinion.

Please learn how to quote. It's not that hard. We even have a user guide to help you.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

.....................?

More or less miraculous than you doing so -with- god?  Care to take a crack at that?  Can you explain to me the existence of the universe, morality, and the origin of life?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I'm hoping the explanation is a bit more robust, lol.

Because the usual things that Christians suggest are incentives -- "Salvation" and eternal life -- have no value at all to me.  I don't want them; therefore, they are not incentives to me.

Quote: Of course, there's evidence for my God!!!

That so-called evidence is far too weak for my standards.  Scriptures are not evidence.  Your personal testimony is not evidence.  If it can't be tested in a science lab and doesn't even function consistently (such as the hit-and-miss manner in which prayers are answered), there's no way to distinguish it from a flight of the imagination.

Quote:And when you say other gods, which gods are you talking about? Allah is one example.

"Allah" is an Arabic word meaning "the god."  Islam recycles stories from the Old and New Testament, and Muslims are actually worshipping your god under a different name.  In fact, Arabic Christians call their god "Allah."

I can think of hundreds of gods.  Athena, Apollo, Hermes, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hera, Zeus and Ares are a few from the Greek pantheon.  You might know a few of them better by their Roman names:  Minerva, Sol, Mercury, Diana, Venus, Juno, Jupiter and Mars.

In my own family there's Oðinn, Frigg, the twins Freyr and Freyja, Heimdall, Tyr, Idunna, Loki (hæ, Uncle!), Skadi, Njord, Balder, Hodr, Hel, Forseti, and of course my little brother Thor, his spouse Sif, and my nephews and niece Modi, Magni and Thrudd.

Head on over to Egypt and meet Ra, Isis, Osiris, Horus, Set, Bastet, Ma'at, and others.

In India there's Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Sarasvati, Lakshmi, Durga/Kali, Hanuman, Indra.

British Isles has their own pantheon, including Brigit, Diancecht, and the Morrigan.

... and in Mesopotamia, which is where one finds the roots of Judaism and hence Christianity, there's my BFF Tiamat.  (BTW, She's currently Queen of Earth.  I delegated the job to Her in 2002 so I could get a decent night's sleep for once.)

And me?  Well, my username bears a striking resemblance to Astarte/Istar/Asherah/Eostre/Ostara.  There's a reason I go by the handle the Springy Goddess -- all your Easter are belong to Us.

(Oh, and all of the above divine names were from memory.)

Yeah thats extremely immature and flat out stupid. It shocking to me that one of the rules isn't against cussing.
According to the fairy tale when Yeshua returns everyone will be cursing him for being a real pain in the ass.  So if he was to pop up right now it wouldn't be very long before you would be swearing a blue streak about him.

It's biblical.

By having such lousy, cowardly morality that one consents to having Jesus die in one's place? Angel
