Perhaps I'm the last one to learn this but Chuck Norris is part of the National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools.

According to the article above: "The Bible's history and literature will be required to be taught in public schools in Texas under a new law ......."
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

Chuck Norris is anti-science, pro-bible. 'Nuff said, he sucks.

Ya know, it just occurred to me. Teaching the Bible as history and perhaps literature might not be such a bad thing....so long as they stick to the truth. Someone like DiestPal. should write the textbook. What do you think?

Give them an inch and they'll take a mile. Let them teach the bible as history, and they'll start teaching the entire thing as scientific fact.
