I hate it when christians say...

For some peculiar reason, these just sprang to mind:
"Evolution is only a theory" "Evolution is a religion" "Evolution has never been observed (and never will be" "Evolution is bad science" "There are no transitional forms" (cont. on p94)
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
I also hate it when Christians say atheists are such evil people.
Really? The most religious countries are the most dangerous and corrupt countries such as Somolia, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, and the United States. The most secular countries are the most well kept and industrialized countries such as Sweden, Germany, Denmark, France and Japan.

What the fuck does it imply? Does it make your bullshit worthless opinions somehow more valid? Pretty much that's what they think yes, it's a kind of argument from authority thing isn't it? god on their side and all that.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Next time I hear that out of some idiots trap I'm calling them on it. Idiot: "Well as a christian..." Me: "Wait. Stop right there. What the fuck has your religion got to do with anything?" Then I enjoy the look of shock and panic on their face. all of this, this is what they really mean.
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful" - Edward Gibbon (Offen misattributed to Lucius Annaeus Seneca or Seneca the Younger) (Thanks to apophenia for the correction)
'I am driven by two main philosophies: Know more about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you' - Neil deGrasse Tyson "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Mark Twain
Do not hate anything Christians say and maybe
some thing to do with my age : I am forty seven but whatever the reason is important one examines the reasons why things are said and not go off on one because what is being referenced is just nonsense : as I do not do that any more because it is just negative : so try to be more understanding and less judgemental as I advance into my autumn years : indeed this is how we all should behave with the acquiring of wisdom through age : now I am only human but that is zero excuse though for not showing a basic respect to all irrespective of belief : absolute golden rule here [ whether one accepts it or not ] is to respect the individual and not the idea which can be torn to shreds : so it would not bother me one iota therefore if there were any more fundamentalists here : for long as they are not breaking the rules they should be welcome with open arms : if that makes me feel uncomfortable then need to learn the meaning of tolerance pretty sharpish : now as it happens am not bothered so any theists reading this who want to join come on down as you will be treated with absolute respect by me : on that you have my word : could do with having more members any way
A MIND IS LIKE A PARACHUTE : IT DOES NOT WORK UNLESS IT IS OPEN
Some of these have already been said, but...

I hate it when Christians say,
"Christ died for your sins" This is the most annoying thing I ever hear. Then they go on explaining the story of his death and resurrection as if I never heard this myth before like a million times or as if I was born yesterday. I hate the whole idea of sin and that Jesus took my place for punishment. So stupid and twisted!
You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.
There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting. Buddha ![]() Quote:I hate it when Christians say, My reply is - "fuck him...didn't work. I'm still sinning." What an inept "god." |
