NoMoreFaith's suggestion

RE: NoMoreFaith's suggestion
Well, this was amusing. It made me feel like Mr. Spock because all I kept saying in my head was "This is not logical.", but by the time I had almost made it to the end, I was giggling like George Takei typing out a clever pun. The duality of the situation nearly knocked me down, but I'm okay, and I appreciate your candor.

Welcome and enjoy.

I really can't be arsed to response to some of your statements but here goes:

Which is what exactly?

Quote:However, we are being protected from all that at the moment by decree of the, for want of a better phrase, Galactic government as we are so unable to defend ourselves.
So you think the lack of alien invasion is down to the protection of some sort of Galactic Federation?

Quote:Just because a race is more advanced than us does not mean that it is 'advanced' by Cosmic standards. We are certainly not the benchmark by which life throughout the Cosmos is to be judged.
Okay. Cosmic standards. Move the goalposts. So what does Cosmic standards mean then?

Quote:Glad to hear it. You're making the mistake of thinking of God as a separate person who does things at will for his own pleasure or purpose. That's not how it is at all.
Everyone is intrinsically selfish. That is a consequence of sentience coupled with complying to basic animal instincts to fulfil basic desires of self-preservation. If that's not the case with your god concept then prove it. Give a demonstrably-real example of how 'selfless' it is then.

Quote:If you really feel that way then who knows, maybe you'll get your wish. Just a shame that you won't be around to appreciate it.
That's the idea. Besides, how we feel about reality is irrelevant. Its inevitable.

You are blurring the lines between reality and fantasy in almost every facet of your beliefs and personality.

I think you might want to seek some professional help, rather than seeking a bunch of skeptics and atheists.

You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Oh boy and just like that you lost all credibility before you could hardly begin...

I have a question that you seem uniquely qualified to answer. As a "medium", how can you be sure that the entities you believe you are contacting aren't the cosmic village idiots? I'd hate to think someone was hinging some life altering decision on what my dead uncle Billy Bob has to say on the matter.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I talked with your Uncle and he assured me that there will be words with you once you are dead.
