It is only in an internet forum but that doesn't mean you can care any less for the people here.

Well yes,it means exactly that,speaking for myself..

I quite like lot of the personas here,but I have not actually met any of the real people here.They are not my friends and I am not theirs. My emotional investment and attachment is minimal. To me a friend is like a sibling. When I say 'only an internet forum' I mean the relationships are superficial, lacking any real intimacy.

OF COURSE you may feel differently, but I'm unable to accept such feelings are the norm.

For me I have met many people in various online ways and consider them friends as much as the people I met in the conventional way. Some of the people I have met online Ive gone onto meet in person and they would make up a collection of some of the friends I would be willing to trust the most.
