Tennessee Evolution Bill Becomes Law

RE: Tennessee Evolution Bill Becomes Law
It could be worse at least. Still a bill that prompts avoidance isn't really something to be proud of.
This is stupid

Oh for fuck sake. How many times do I have to explain this?
The Hills Have Eyes is based on a *true* story that took place in Tennessee.
Just replace "nuclear mutation" with "incestial buggery" and it all becomes clear. Now this new law has come to pass they'll be able to raise an entire of army of twisted abominations that eat children and praises Jesus at the same time.

(All of the above may or may not be true.)

Do you people always insult others of your kind?

Intellectual quality is thicker than ataviastic notion of tribal blood.

So Creationists of Tennessee is not of our kind. I understand this may sound shocking to one who might think any yokel belongs to his kind if the yokel's inbred ancesters happen to have been born in the same anatolia within the last 3 centuries.

A little off topic, but I have a cousin who moved to Tennessee and her Tennessee accent mixed with her Wisconsin one and it is so awesome.

That bill is so stupid. It's fucking science! If parents don't want their children to learn about evolution, then they can teach them themselves or have the children removed from class during that unit. Schools should be teaching concepts like evolution, instead of sucking up to groups of people who continue to deny the evidence.

You're missing their true goals Matt. It's not that they don't want people to learn science, they are trying to sneak religion in through the back door. Ever heard of the wedge strategy? Read it and weep.

This is EXACTLY what they are doing. It's going to be "teach the controversy" next and incrementally they sneak intelligent design into the classroom. This is the wedge strategy to the letter.

Anybody wonder why it's all right wing christian groups supporting this seemingly innocuous bill? Because it's just "Phase 1" of the plan. The Discovery Institute has practically written out what the next phases are going to be and it all ends with "getting the materialist scientific worldview out of schools and creationism in".

Actually, they ARE completely anti-science. Evolution is only one issue on their agenda. Also on their anti-science agenda is anthropology, sociology, psychology, engineering, physics, chemistry, geology, biology, and astronomy. They are attempting to set back science education 150 years. This has to stop.

"In short, Meyer has shown that his first disastrous book was not a fluke: he is capable of going into any field in which he has no training or research experience and botching it just as badly as he did molecular biology. As I've written before, if you are a complete amateur and don't understand a subject, don't demonstrate the Dunning-Kruger effect by writing a book about it and proving your ignorance to everyone else!
