Sanal Edamaruku, president of Indian Rationalist Association is facing harassment and a possible arrest for debunking a Jesus water dropping ''miracle''.

As he exposed the “miracle” of the dripping Jesus in Mumbai, revengeful Catholic Church leaders vow to harass Sanal Edamaruku with an array of blasphemy cases. The harassment has started. Sanal can be arrested any moment.

'The Catholic church is angry about my debunking of the Jesus water dripping "miracle". They are busy filing several cases u/s 295 of IPC against me in different police stations in Mumbai. I may be arrested any day... but we shall fight it out. i know that I am not alone.... It is nothing new that the Catholic bishops try to sentence their opponents to the stake when they run out of arguments. Giordano Bruno’s is a case in point. But try as they may, they cannot stop me from standing for reason, science and historical facts. And I am not alone. I wouldn't read too much into the threats. Unlike US, Indian courts are amazingly incompetent when it comes to any matter that has made the news. This would be more of a political circus with free publicity for all involved parties than result in any noticeable legal action.

On a side note, the Jesus statue place is not far from where I live. I might actually go and check it out.
