I live and breathe the blues, my man. It is just that kind of thing that you only need to hear one note and it has you hooked.

I can listen to just about anything. Got my husband hooked on Steven Sondheim musicals. I like to run to Lady Gaga and Britney Spears~ mostly because they consistently make music with the correct beats per minute to match my stride and help me keep a steady pace. I heard a Seven Nation Army remix the other day that blew my mind. Know old Nine Inch Nails backward and forward from my angry teenage "god is dead" phase. Love some Bubba Sparxxx when cleaning house and Blues Traveler when I'm drinking wine and cooking. All the way to Tori Amos and Fiona Apple when I'm in an introspective mood. My favorite silly-time-dancing-around-the-house-with-my-dogs-song right now is "Body Rolls/Tight Pants". I highly recommend watching the video on You Tube. I have also been a fan of Counting Crows for many years.
I don't like most country, though I could listen to Brad Paisley's instrumental guitar all day. He's a rare talent. Don't like most hard core rap. I make an exception for Eminem.

Almost everything goes. The genres I can't stand are jazz (it might be fun for those playing, but I refuse to listen to musical masturbation) and rap/hip-hop (though, a there are a couple of Finnish rappers/hip-hoppers that are really good).
On my favorite playlist there is orchestral music from different movies and games, Californian skate-punk-pop-rock-whatever, j-pop/rock, a little bit of indie, some hardrock and classical.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

The Blues is awesome. Pretty much the root of modern music. Grew up listening to the Stones and Led Zeppelin, stuff like that. Jeff Buckley is great. Bob Dylan is a king among men. And Sublime are one of the most underappreciated bands of the '90's.

Classical (not the whiny disonnance stuff, the good stuff like Chopin, Debussy, Pachelbel and Vivaldi), Ska, lots of metalcore (Parkway drive, Of mice & men &c), Jazz, Alternative an AltMetal, hardcore, post-hardcore and some guilty pleasure neo-country...oh dear

CCM, Alternative Rock, and Indie (usually Indie Rock).
