Yes, but we have smart ones, I assume. I can't give the majority of all Christians the same compliment.
What falls away is always, and is near.

Also, I am not pretending to be female, this profile picture is my wonderful girlfriend. XD

See, that is the whole problem with Christianity. So many want to say they are practicing the most true form of Christianity, when they really have no idea. To be a truly devout Christian, you follow the Bible to the word. You don't manipulate it in any way. That's what people don't understand.

BTW, don't twist my words. I didn't say true Christian, I said truly devout Christian. A truly devout Christian is one that devotes their life to the Bible and believe EVERYTHING in the Bible and follows EVERYTHING in the Bible. Sorry, but being on an Atheist forum debating God's existence would never even be allowed by a truly devout Christian. It would be considered heresy, and that person would likely be banned from their church.

True christian/truly devout christian same fucking thing.

I don't see where you get off telling christians what a 'truly devout christian' is when they themselves, cannot agree on what a truly devout christian is. Funny that you seem to think you have the authority on what constitutes a true christian/truly devout christian without even being one yourself. Talk about hypocrisy and arrogance.

Quote:Your ignorance is not my problem. If Christians take offense that there are actually people out there that are considered more "Christian" than them, that is not my problem either. Most truly devout Christians are shunned from society for their beliefs and actions.

Ignorance? The only ignorance I have seen here is coming out of your own keyboard spewing all over the internet.

You really are quite arrogant as well.

Look up the word devout and think of truly devout as being absolutely devout. At least I know why you refuse to share your religion. No, truly and truly devout are not the same.

Well, that is the whole point. I am not Christian, therefore I don't need to whine and complain that someone isn't saying I'm not a better Christian than someone else. Christians can't agree, because they don't want to admit that they may not be highest on the ladder. Most devout Christians would actually be attacked by people like you, which is why Christianity is so messed up. The devout Christians are attacked by other Christians more than they are even from Atheists.

It's similar to children competing for an award. Lets say their father has a book, and he says that good children always follow the book and get a reward. Sally follows the book, but there are some things in the book she doesn't agree with and refuses to do. Even so, she thinks that she will get a reward. Then, she finds out that Mary followed everything in the book and even the parts that Sally didn't agree with. Sally gets mad at Mary, because Sally thinks Mary will get the reward instead of her. Just as Sally got mad at Mary, Christians like to compete for their reward, which they think will be heaven. The only problem is, there are so many rules in the Bible that most don't follow everything these days, so they get mad at the ones that do. Of course, that goes against the teachings of Jesus Christ, but they don't care and always find ways to justify it.

You should go to a Christian forum. Maybe then you would understand my posts and see them debate on who's a better Christian etc. They won't say those words, but that is what they do. The mother that does not want to teach her child certain things gets berated by those that teach their child those things etc.

No, I have no interest in pandering to Christians that want to debate everything I post. I thought this was an Atheist forum not an Atheist/Christian one. I'm looking for those that are Atheist that don't have fear of upsetting the Christians. Obviously, that is not here.

RE: How Should We Elect Staff?
Okay, guys. We got 25 votes with a large majority opting for no public elections. Therefore, we are going to go ahead with that. Of course, in the future, the option may come up again or the majority opinion may change.

Thanks to everyone who voted!
