10 Arguments Against Hell

RE: 10 Arguments Against Hell
Hell makes sense if god's a tyrant who punishes people for being perceptive. Easier to run a kingdom if your subjects are gullible.

God says to stone unruly children in Deuteronomy 21:18-21 Exodus 21:15, 17 says that children who hit or curse their parents must be put to death.

Under God's law, parents are supposed to kill their children. Not to do so is a breach of the law.

Humans have such more civilized standards on how to deal with unruly children. Timeouts, send them to bed without deserts, or even spank them is nothing on stoning them to death!

I am not a creationist, but no, I don't see disease as being "evil". African eye worms are living creatures--they can cause pain to humans, but humans certainly cause pain to other living creatures. Undecided A wolf isn't "evil" for eating a human for example.
Mary Immaculate, star of the morning
Chosen before the creation began
Chosen to bring for your bridal adorning
Woe to the serpent and rescue to man.

Sinners, we honor your sinless perfection;
Fallen and weak, for your pity we plead;
Grand us the shield of your sovereign protection,
Measure your aid by the depth of our need.

Bend from your throne at the voice of our crying,
Bend to this earth which your footsteps have trod;
Stretch out your arms to us, living and dying,
Mary Immaculate, Mother of God.

You are wrong, I've explained this a number of times, and yet you refuse to listen, you do as you claim Christians do.

C'mon. Some of us are only halfway deluded!

The punishment for the damned is the same as the reward for the good...having to live among people who think and act the way as they do. Think of it this way: would you want yourself as a permanent roommate?

It's more like gradually denying your own humanity until you can no longer receive the Holy Spirit. For example, becoming habituated to torturing others...first you're disgusted, then you accept it, and eventually you start to enjoy it.

Yes, you've "explained" it. That doesn't change the fact of what is in your holy book. It says unruly children are to be put to death - by stoning - throwing rocks at the bound victim until he or she is dead. It's hard for me to imagine a crime a child could commit which would warrant the death penalty - and a death penalty meeted out in such a cruel, torturous fashion.

Civil laws of most countries do not permit such a thing.

Again you are wrong, the stoning is not meant for small children. I assume you're an adult, yet you are the child of your parents, yes, these are the children scripture speaks of. Good grief, as Charlie would say, how many times do I have to spell this out before it sinks in. Come to think of it maybe some on here are not adults.

It doesn't say anything anywhere in the Bible the minimum age for stoning.

Even given the things I said about giving little children the death penalty (and those verses could apply to a 4 year old as well as they could a 40 year old), here's an instance of God directly using capital punishment for children who mock an adult - who is not even their parent.

Quote:And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. -- 2 Kings 2:23-24

Here it specifically says "little children" who were teasing the prophet. On his say-so, God sent bears who killed the children - for misbehaving as children do. This seems to warrant capital punishment.

???

Nowhere in that passage is God said to have sent the bears.

Also the fact that "the Bible never says anything about an age minimum" is only remotely relevant if you pretend like the entirety of Scripture exists in a vacuum. It does not.

No need in me saying anything, Aiza has said it all.
