Karen O was on the soundtrack, I knew you were talking about the score itself. The movie isn't that depressing, except if you're talking about when the monster is standing on the island howling at the boy...

I thought Karen O helped with the score. I might be wrong about that.
I think it is depressing because all of the characters are pissed or sad. It's realistic, but I find life generally depressing too if I look at it too long.

She very well might have been, I was just referring to one part in the movie to where her "oohs and ahhs" were dlightful, anyhow. ^_^ Oh, and the part in the beginning where his sister's friends stomped on his igloo made me sad, also. D: I wanted to be his friend throughout the entire film! :Sobs:
