Linux Remote Desktop?

Linux Remote Desktop?
OK ... question!

This is relevant to me because I now have my ESXi server up and running and I want to play with ideas.

Does Linux have a remote desktop serving capability ... I know it has a client but what I am after is the back end. In essence I want top run a Linux virtual server and have it serve out to me a Linux virtual desktop, the *nix equivalent of RDP (Terminal Services).

No, that's a remote client (a thick one) ... I'm talking thin client here.

Aahhhhh! That looks like the ticket ... I shall try that when I've got all me virtualisation kinks sorted out (on OpenSUSE of course).

EDIT: Now what will be interesting is can it (the remote bit) work on other OS's such as Windows ... given that both Citrix and MS TS (much to MS's disgust I am sure) work on Linux it will be interesting to find out, I love the idea of (if possible) running seamless Linux applications on a Windows desktop (or other OS).

I've never used it though so no idea how good/bad it is. I use my linux servers as webservers mostly and for database application servers.
