Perhaps not?

There are cheap ones.

Fair enough, could you post a link to a site that sells them cheap?
Oh wait, nevermind. Found one. Not sure if its legit or not though: http://www.jurassicjewellery.co.uk/conte...s/d55.html
Some of them are welll.... er... interesting.

Does it need to be metal? I had a lovely ring once made of hawk's eye, and it didn't cost too much. It was really different and special to me, nonetheless.

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Found a really nice amber one, on the cheap side though. Tell me what you think Liam.

I was hoping this thread would be about what would our names be if we were atheist superheroes.

Mine would be the Christless Crusader.

Tell your parents. They should buy you your ring?

I'd really rather buy it myself, like I said, this really represents a level of formality that is needed and I really don't think I'd be given the money to buy an engagement ring, we're not exactly rich either.

(sorry, bad at quoting)

well personally I think it's lovely, however, I can hardly buy it for myself and I think she'd rather something white gold with a sky blue stone. The problem being she is allergic to most metals and has a preference for thick bands and sky blue is her favourite colour Tongue so basically, I really like it but I don't think it'd be a success

perhaps it's best to just save and wait until you can get what you want for her. sounds like it's going to be something pretty specific and since you can't squeeze water from a rock ... just write her a note/poem/letter from your heart and let her know how you feel about her. material things truly don't matter.

I don't understand how people can use the excuse of being in school to not have an income. I work full time 40+ hours a week, have a wife and kid, and I'm going to school full time. It's not hard. If you want something that costs money, get a job. School has to be a priority, but it's not hard to have a job too.

I have to agree somewhat with OEF. Though, everyone can't pull off a 40+ h work week and studying (e.g. my mental health wouldn't allow it Tongue), but I work during the weekends. I'm nowhere near rich, but it's a lot better than not working at all Smile

My man got me a ring his mother had, but he didn't even have a ring the first time he asked me. Just make it spontaneous and romantic.
