If you can fixate on the holy, I can't fixate on the holes that makes up the holy?

Saying the same thing multiple times makes you a broken record player.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

That never stopped your ilk from mumbling the same idiotic "Lord's Prayer"

When something because unquestionable, you become manipulable. I'm not saying trust no one or anything like that, but questioning is a good practice. Never stop asking why, ect.

Absolutely nothing, you say?
Nothing?
I don't think that you can really bear the burden of such a statement, so I won't push it any further.

Nothing is(or should be) sacred and beyond questioning. If that were so we would still believe that the sun orbits the earth.

Hi, Tempus.

I think that in day-to-day life we seem to accept these principles:

(1) A person deserves an increasing degree of respect as his degree of knowledge increases.
(2) A person deserves an increasing degree of respect as his degree of power increases.
(3) A person deserves an increasing degree of respect as his degree of moral perfection increases.

According to my belief system, holiness is (roughly speaking) the degree of respect deserved by an entity which is all-knowing, all-powerful, and morally perfect, under principles (1)-(3).

Holy Name, Holy Face, Holy Orders, Holy Matrimony, Holy Week, Holy See, Holy Innocents, Holy Spirit, Holy Week, Holy Grail, Holy Water, Holy Sepulchre, Holy Communion....geez. Thinking

Imagine a bunch of theists, lining up to join a church, and each one has to give their definition of holy. So, Aiza steps up and rhymes off all her definitions. The guy who is taking the list responds, "You said Holy Week, twice." To which Aiza replies, "But I like Holy Week."

Big Grin Sorry, that just reminded me of one of my all time favourite movies. See if you can guess what it is, before watching the clip below.

Not all of us.

No, the respect in that case is warranted only if the knowledge is self-attained. Further, no one respects someone's knowledge unless it is being applied. As for the first, we don't particularly respect the internet, which is a veritable storehouse of knowledge. And we don't particularly respect anyone who simply rattles off facts without using them.

As far as your god is concerned, the word knowledge is irrelevant to him. Further, he is never seen doing anything with whatever he knows.

Wrong. The response to that is fear. You don't respect a tyrant, you fear him.

Then your god utterly fails this criteria given the litany of crimes he has committed.

Then your god is most certainly unholy.

The OP said that I could assume that my worldview was true, so I did. You disagree with my worldview, apparently, which is fine.

All my arguments were made with the assumptions that your worldview is true. Your god is unholy according to your worldview as well, you just don't realize it.
