You are admitting to being a complete asshole and you say that I'M the one with the problem?!?! I think you need a shrink, or at least someone besides your kitties--lovable as they are--to keep you company.   I feel the same way as you alot of the time. Sometimes I wonder if things will ever get better and unfortunately hope is all I have so my only advice would be to keep holding onto hope. I also tend to bury myself in things, mostly music. I think sometimes it just takes you outside of yourself and you can pretend you have a different life for a while, at least that's what it does for me. I don't think there's anything wrong with that though.

As unpopular as it may be, I agree with LEDO.
Internet forums are not the place to host pity-parties. LEDO is not alone in his opinion on the matter. Everyone's problems are worst than other peoples. Should we all just get to listing our woes and take turns telling each other "Oh, poor baby, it's gonna be alright." ? Pity-parties are pitiful. Save it for your shrink or life partner or best friend. If you want me to listen to your tales of woes then you either better be buying me alcohol or buying alcohol from me. If you ain't doing one of those two things (well, there is a third, but I'll keep it PG-13) then keep that waaa waaa waaa cry-baby crap in your pocket. Yes, life's a bitch for some of us. A major bitch. What else is new? Suck it up. Do something about it. After you do what you can and if life is still a bitch then suck it up and live with it. I don't know, I disagree with you. I've been a part of many internet forums where you become very close to the people and it seems only logical to share parts of your life with them. It isn't that you are looking for a pity party it's that you want to know somebody feels the same way you do. Not everyone has a real life support system, sometimes they just need to talk to another person about it. Just because you wouldn't tell your personal problems on an internet forums, doesn't make the person who does it stupid.

If someone wants to share their feelings, why the fuck not? Freedom of speech for the win I say. Yes some may be bothered by it, but others aren't and are there to listen. And if what OP posted is 'crying' and or self-pity according to you and Ledo then isn't it worse to whine back at the whining? Isn't it kind of hypocritical? If you don't don't care for it, think it's "whining" and it's not being specifically addressed to you, I just wonder why you don't just ignore it? And you two have freedom of speech here too of course. So as long as it's nothing 'uncalled for', something that's against the rules, then you're free to express it here.
