^^ i was not expecting that - can't stop laughing now.
i watch all of the alphabet news (abc, nbc, cbs, cnn) conglomerates for my daily intake, but try to decipher what they report by going online and reading another perspective if one story grabs my attention. since i tire of hearing about daily murders and negativity tho, i prefer to stick with nova and other pbs shows on tv along with npr during the work day.

The News Hour on PBS, the NY Times, BBC news, the Daily Show, the Colbert Report and Rachel Maddow.

I don't watch or read much news. To truly get to the bottom of a news story of any significant depth you need to do at least some of your own research, whether that be reading from multiple sources, fact checking things that can be found independent of news outlets, etc. I just don't have the desire to do that most of the time; the last news story I followed was the Kony 2012 thing. The problem with most news is that the simple omission of facts, use of language, and selective footage can exacerbate, diminish or distort a story.
So I guess my answer is that I use multiple sources, I haven't a favourite. I don't pay any real attention to the brands attached to them.
BBC news for UK and the world the Daily show for America occasionally I will look at Fox news for a laugh.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news is my first stop for news. It's probably the only source I don't assume is making shit up. If I'm on my break at work, I will have a look through The Metro or The Evening Standard (depending on what shift I am on) and read any article that interests me, but I don't expect to be reading many facts there. For local news I go to http://www.hamhigh.co.uk or http://www.camdennewjournal.com
I usually stick with Reuters or the BBC - or sometimes even Agence France-Presse when I want to avoid the political posturing which passes for "news" in the US.
The NY Times remains pretty good and the McClatchy group of Newspapers is a cut above. RE: Your News Sources

Live every day as if already dead, that way you're not disappointed when you are.
BBC News for me too, in fact I use it as my homepage. Also regional news sources when checking on specific stories.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
