The number of believers says nothing about the veracity of the claim; absolutely nothing. If six billion people tomorrow claimed belief in sentient talking tomatoes, would you then believe based on this or would you require a demonstration?

I know that there are people that believe in supernatural ideas, but this doesn't equate to the supernatural existing.

Satanist groups permeating world governments? Great. It is bad enough contending with people anticipating the return of Jesus Christ, now I am forced to deal with people awaiting the return of Lord Blackwood.

You may be onto something, faulty design, piss-poor manufacturing, and a complete and utter lack of tech support. Hell, the users manual is thousands of years old and written in a foreign language.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Are you serious? Seriously? Open your eyes. The occult has existed for as long as religion has, and you for how long? Are you a drinker?

It kind of does, which is why I posted this on the Roerich Banner of Peace in the first place. Tomatoes do not contribute to cultural identities, nor do they collectively form a pattern (concerning anthropology). A pointless comparison.

They contributed to mine....people even know where I'm from when they see how I trellis maters (and my tomatoes don't even talk ffs)....The occult, religion, and a lack of belief in both have all existed for roughly equivalent amounts of time, insofar as we can tell. Neither the number of people nor the amount of time that has passed have much to say about whether any of these three things are factually accurate.

Belief in the occult and religion is ancient, there's no argument here. The point you are missing is that the belief in supernatural causes of events doesn't mean there are actually supernatural causes.

My talking tomato comment was an illustration used to demonstrate the absurdity of your claim that the number of believers, absent corroborating evidence, can be used to verify a truth claim. I did not invoke this in any way regarding the Roerich Banner of Peace. This was quite clear.

That is all I have to say. Get it right; ignorance is without a price; a sacrifice. You didn't ask to be here, in this shithole; the sagas continue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2qLY4KHCYE

Well I'll be. I wasn't aware that idiots came in a larger size. I stand corrected.
