It's nice that they do charity work. However, if I didn't have to go to work every day, was fabulously wealthy and had servants to attend to my every need, I would also do a lot of charity work.
Granted, but I think there is a common argument that their status is a huge draw for a lot of the donations that their charities receive. Monarchy or no monarchy, I really don't care. If it were proved that the good they do outweighs what they take back, they could continue waving until they get carpal tunnel, for all I care.
