Videos not showing

Is there any way so that the site can recognise videos and stop them from not appearing whilst browsing?
This has only started happening since we've had https.
It's not so much for my benefit, I know how to make them show up myself, but not everyone here does as whenever I post videos now people seem to be missing them completely, or I've had to say why they can't see videos others have posted as well.
It is becoming more than a little annoying...

Seeing alot of blank spaces where videos should be lately.

What web browser are you using? If you're using chrome, there should be a shield at the right of the address bar. Click that and then click load anyway - this should sort it out.

My anti-virus software never shows images/videos unless I choose to display "insecure content."
I have McaFee, but I know Norton does the same thing.

Related issue (sort of). Is there any way to post a link to a youtube video without it being automagically embedded? I went to post a video the other day, and due to copyright, only one video was embeddable, and it wasn't very good. So I thought I'd post a link to a good one alongside it. Couldn't figure out how to do it. Help?
