fear "the Empire of heaven" ?

RE: fear "the Empire of heaven" ?
You are a man-eater, aren't you?
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

EMPs, generated naturally (lightning) or artificially (EMP weapons), are a broad-spectrum EM signal, whose various frequency components, can propagate into the internals of electronic equipment. There, those frequency components resonate with internal electrical conductors (traces on mother-boards, pins of chips), each of which acts like a small resonant antenna, that "picks up" particular wavelengths in the EMP. Thereby, the EMP "communicates" to the electronic equipment, wirelessly. Now, EMP is an non-structured, non-organized, non-meaningful, non-intelligible signal; EMP "communicates" random gibberish to electronic equipment. But, that random gibberish could still, say, knock a computer-controlled aircraft from its flight path.

Hypothetically, structured & organized EM signals could "communicate" intelligible & meaningful information, wirelessly, to electronic equipment. Aircraft could not only be knocked down, but "hacked into" and "taken over". And, such "wireless hack" signals could be adapted, from electronics, to carbon-based organic bio-electro-chemical information systems, like animal brains. Bio-adapted "wireless hacks" would amount to "telepathy". Advanced Aliens could create bio-adapted "telepathic" communications systems -- 'They' could talk directly to Seth Shostak, without needing him to build a radio antenna.

For ages, some "Chosen" humans have persistently, if sporadically, reported receiving structured, organized, intelligible, meaningful, audio-video (voices, visions, dreams) messages, telepathically, from other-worldly "God(s) in starry heaven". Those "Prophetic experiences" foment Religion amongst humans on earth. Those "Prophetic experiences" can be construed, to advanced Aliens, employing advanced "active SETI" style space communications, to "talk down (directly) to humans on earth".

YHWH-God in heaven may actually Exist; a Kingdom (Empire) of heaven (space) may actually Exist; 'They' would be an advanced, Kardashev-III or IV, Super-Alien super-civilization.

1. Why the fuck would they even want to communicate?
2. Why wouldn't they communicate more clearly?
3. Why aren't they communicating any longer?

Well, there are errors and distortions aplenty that I could focus on, but they're not all that important.

As with any phenomena that we wish to explain, there may be competing hypotheses which explain the phenomena. Is it possible that religion is the result of telepathic communications from space aliens? Sure. It's possible. But the important question is how probable is it that this explanation is true, relative to other explanations of the phenomena. As it turns out, the human brain doesn't need telepathic messages from outside itself, it is fully capable of fooling itself into believing itself to have received messages — no aliens required! Do we need aliens to explain human hatred and warfare? Nope! Do we need aliens to explain human gullibility and imagination? Nope! And speaking in general, an explanation that relies upon mechanisms that have been demonstrated to exist is far ahead of any for which mechanisms are either absent or implausible. (And this gets off into statistics and probability theory that we don't need to go into.) I asked you if you had any evidence. You replied with more speculation. Your imagination is not evidence.

Is it possible that space aliens and telepathic messages are the cause of religion? Sure is. Is it likely or even close to being as likely as other naturalistic explanations? No, it is not. Not by a long shot.

And that situation will remain until you actually provide some evidence(*) for either space aliens or telepathy. When you do find some, feel free to let us know.

(*) And a quick note on evidence. Many people will provide a bunch of weak evidence for a hypothesis under the apparent assumption that a mountain of weak evidence amounts to good evidence. Weak evidence remains weak evidence, no matter how much of it you pile up.
