Hi Tango, great to have another atheist aboard, especially such an articulate one. I look forward to seeing you around the boards.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Thanks for the welcome and for the clip! That's a great movie and the original Japanese version of the movie is even better... I never thought about it but.... I guess tango is like a religion... there are so many versions of it... and if you're a "believer" in one style all the others just won't do or look silly... what they're dancing in the video is a mutant compilation of American and International tango with dramatic poses thrown in... the "real" Tango from Argentina looks nothing like this.... even the "show tango" that's for performance. The art got "lost in translation".... I love how mass media distorts everything, even dance forms... hahaha They just make stuff up and expect everyone to believe it. Thanks for the welcome festive1! Family reunions were tough growing up for me too... they always asked which church my mom and I attended, asking my mom "why don't we see you on Sunday anymore". Blah, Blah, Blah. We just changed the direction of the conversation to avoid their impending annoying reaction.

Actually, tango is the national dance of Finland. Funny that such a powerful and emotional dance should be favored by such an introvert people.. :p

  Thanks for the clip T/B they truly are exceptional dancers.  Kayenneh- Tango in Finland? Oh my! Mind you the one thing that I thought "Shall We Dance" got absolutely correct was that those who do Ballroom Dancing are VERY serious about it! Watching the Special features on the DVD Is like watching Boot Fitness Camp! So exacting!! Kayennha --- Yeah in Fins have their own super active Tango community including musicians who since modern tango songs in Finnish. They're actually pretty cool.
