Sydney Anglican Diocese makes changes to their church marriage vows

The Sydney Anglican Diocese is an Evangelical one and theologically one of the most conservative in the Anglican Church. Recently the diocese decided to change the marriage vows, to say that the woman would submit to rather than obey her husband.

I don't know if the Sydney Anglican diocese fully understand what the term submit really means in those verses of the New Testament, which exhorts wives to submit to their husbands.
