Hey there everyone. My name is Casey and I'm a non-believer. I'd say atheist, but I also lean toward humanism. Either way I don't believe there is a God.
I joined here because I realized almost all of the atheists I 'know' possess little knowledge of the faiths they refute and still try to convince others that whatever religion is crap. I have grown really tired of having a public discussion and actually be proving the believers wrong at every turn without insulting them or being rude then another non-believer jumps in calls them stupid or otherwise insults the believers effectively ending the decent conversation.
I love getting believers to quote scriptures then immediately quote one that contradicts or defeats it because in my mind the best way to disprove their faith is by using their faith and my knowledge in it.
On a personal note I'm 25 and am currently in Afghanistan working for the army, I have a beautiful girlfriend and month old daughter at home whom I'm very excited to meet when I get to go back to the states for R&R. I love them both very much. Love meeting people and love talking to them, getting to know them. Hop to have plenty of good conversations and learning experiences with you guys!
