Point one: no we don't, that's just silly.

Point two: no we don't, we don't need a book to tell us what not to do, that would also be silly.

Point three: citation needed. Since the search terms 'atheist' and 'criminal' yield exactly no results on their website, I'm guessing the answer is probably no.

However, since you like numbers, try these on for size:

Quote:Note that atheists, being a moderate proportion of the USA population (about 8-16%) are disproportionately less in the prison populations (0.21%).

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Of all the dumb statements I have ever read, this absolutely takes the cake. Atheists do not get morality from the Bible. Christians don't even do that. What evidence have I got that Christians don't do that? The fact that there are Christians who aren't behind bars is hard evidence that we Christians don't get our morality from the Bible. Anyone who gets his morality from the Bible is most certainly in jail now. And where did you get this insane drivel from that 73.6% of atheists are criminals? As far as I know and from what I've read, the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of prisoners are Christians or religious people and only a paltry number of prisoners are atheists. What the devil is EDEN Magazine? You mean EDEN as in Evangelical Dunderhead Eediotic Numbskull???

ROFLOL I'm so witty!!!! Hahaha.

I would think there are much more atheists in prison (well to clarify, much more than those who label themselves atheists) who don't want to identify themselves as thus. In prison, unless you can back up your uniqueness with overt threats of violence, you try your best to stick to the norm...if it is expected that you are to believe in God, you say you believe in God. I have heard this is the same way for troops in the US military.

Others just turn to religion out of shear desperation.

Actually atheists do tend to get their morality from the Bible and older religious codecs as well...for example, whenever you say someone should be a good Samaritan, you're referencing the Bible.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Polaris, you wrote this: "whenever you say someone should be a good Samaritan, you're referencing the Bible."

That's ridiculous!!! Nobody denies that the English language is very much influenced by CHristianity and Christian imagery but that doesn't mean people get their MORALITY from the Bible. They get the EXPRESSION from the Bible. Surely you can see the difference between the two??? Oh, for crying out loud!!!!!!!!

Just as when you use words like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc you're referencing older religions yourself. Simply quoting a particular turn of phrase in the English language that just happens to come from one 'holy' book or another doth not a xtian make. Try again, Alpha Ursae Majoris.

Also, I think you meant "codices" (plural of codex) rather than codecs. The two are not mutually exclusive.

English language is influenced by pagans.

Jehovah is a reference to Jove or Jupiter as such no chistian is worshipping the god of Abraham, but they are in fact worshipping a Planet. I have just done Ryaans job for him, with the help of polaris.

Well that would be Elohim used during Abraham's day I believe....one of my favorite names for God.
