I wanted to upload a new image as my signature but it's freaking huge. I tried using html code to resize it but it takes the code as a string.

You do realize that people still download (and pay for) the huge image no matter however you shrink it using HTML image dimensions, right?
Just put the image into GIMP or Paint or Photoshop and resize it as necessary. Slave to the Patriarchy no more
It's more of a want than a need. Too much effort sooo I just won't bother.
