Damn that was a good night.

I'm glad you enjoyed my visit, but you must learn to understand a Scottish accent, man.

Most people would be if they were invincible.

People don't turn into Scotsmen for no reason at all.

I have this sneaking feeling that we've been here before. That's my experience. I believe psychologists call it a "Deja Merde" experience, but I don't know the technical details.

I was like Mulder. I wanted SO FUCKING BADLY to believe.

I had a few dreams once when things were bothering me, but I know now that it was just information I already had in my head rising up out of my subconscious. And when I was a kid I suffered from sleep paralysis a lot and had those "visions" of the watching dark figure in the doorway. It probably is what sparked my interest in Celtic folklore.

But otherwise, I am skeptic through and through. Ben Radford will vouch for me. Wink

Nothing 'paranormal' has happened to me, but I'm reminded of a funny anecdote though, that somewhat falls into the category.

Still at 23 I'm afraid of the dark. Not always, but sometimes I get really anxious when it's dark. (It got especially bad when I had just watched the move "REC" and half of the town lost power and I freaked out. I wanted to go to my bf's place, but that meant navigating through the whole, pitch-dark stairwell. Let's just say that I ran the whole way down.)

Anyhoo, that was not the story I was supposed to tell. I was on my way to the bathroom one night and suddenly I heard the most odd sound coming from the living room. It was a sound I had never heard before in our apartment and I got really scared and for a moment I thought that I was actually going crazy since nothing in the living room could possibly make that noise. Five seconds after fighting the oncoming panic I remembered, my roomie's bf had brought his two mini hamsters to our place and hamster being nocturnal animals, it was only them being busy in their cages. Boy, did I feel like a fool afterwards Big Grin
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Sad
How can you have a good discussion if there's nobody allowed to disagree?

You're allowed to disagree, but vapid rants about how anyone's experience is factually utter BS wouldn't be appreciated.

The humorous accounts and generally poking fun at the idea is fine. Basically, I don't want this to land into complete stupidity. Rational discussion people.

I like the story with the hamsters. Big Grin
"I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea, changing a belief is trickier.
Life should be malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that.
Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can't generate.
Life grows stagnant." - DOGMA

My "people skills" are "rusty". - Castiel, Supernatural
