7/10 - not the style of singing I adore but a female on vocals and piano will never get a bad rating from me.

The music was impressive if a bit uninventive and repetitive. It took a little bit to get used to the voices, particularly after the opening nasal whine. The lyrics, on the other hand, were incredibly forced, and had almost no lyricism to them.
It reminded me of a parody song I wrote about Bernard Goetz, and him "making going home safe on the New York Metropolitan Subway System...." 4/10.

9/10 Fantastic jazz piano! But damn, itunes doesn't have it. That's okay though I'm sure I can find some more I like by this guy.
Between the two I still prefer the smokey soul of Leavell to the ethereal clean lines of Monty .. but I am now a big Monty fan too.
Here is something that tugs Monty down to earth a little. He still breaks free into the abstract but he obviously has enough respect for the original song to get pulled back into a murkier humanity. This may grow on me.

Yep, I like her too. Can't decide if I like her vocals or piano more. (Must be the vocals, I have no instrumentals from her.)
