Americans, Do Not Vote

RE: Americans, Do Not Vote
They don't have anything to be afraid of........

Honestly, how many here would carry their convictions all the way to their violent ends? I think that all of us who share the notion that a large portion of the US has been getting a raw deal hope that this whole thing could be solved diplomatically, politically, peacefully. But supposing that it couldn't...is that where we decide to give up? Is that the point that it doesn't become worth it anymore? I'm not trying to dig at anyone here, honestly, but what do you think those in power always bank on (again, assuming that "those in power" are maliciously fucking us over)? That those below them are not willing to follow through...and for the most part, they seem to be right.

There is no point in the political process that cannot be subbed out, coopted, and outright stolen by those with the resources and conviction to do so.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Didn't you hear what happened to the Green Party recently?

And I will tell people not to vote. It's the best way to keep power away from the corrupt. The masses are at fault for giving people like Obama and Bush the power to fight wars on their behalf, while simultaneously cutting social programs and funding for education.

Not voting is a vote for the status quo. A protest vote to a Third Party at least sends a message that you're not happy with what the major parties are offering.

Y'all had your fucking chances at the Primaries to make your stance. Y'all fucking didn't.

And now you want to screw over all of us because you didn't get your personal choice.

Fuck y'all cocksuckers.

Yes, it's our fault the Republicans didn't nominate Huntsman or Johnson. We Third Party voters totally misused our great and terrible powers by not preventing Romney from getting the nomination, which we easily could have. Now we have to give our votes to one of the two neocons running or we'll spoil everything.

Every election cycle it's the same thing: Oh noes, we'll be totally fucked up forever if our guy doesn't win, and it will be all your fault that he didn't convince you to vote for him. Nobody vote third party or the wrong guy will win!

Something Democrats and Republicans are totally in bed together on, 69-ing all night long.

RE: Americans, Do Not Vote
Not voting and making a vote for a person with zero chance of winning are essentially the same thing in America. You're fooling yourself if you think that either party cares about that 'message' outside of how it is perceived to affect the balance between the two relevant parties.

Nor does it matter in the slightest if you abstain. Yes, you get to act (or not, in this case) on your principles. Good for you. This has zero effect on the landscape. Candidates do not require a base minimum of votes to be elected, they just have to have more than the other guy.

Yes, if there are any assholes in your party, you shouldn't be in that party. I'll sign on to that philosophy after you.

I'm quite immune to becoming a Nazi, thank you.

You do have your morals, I don't doubt that, but projectionism is a cluster fuck to humanity and you are the same gas on the fire you want to accuse others of doing.

You think that the private sector will self police? HA! Why are we in this mess if they did such a bang up job?

I wasn't aware Gary Johnson was the 'no rules' candidate. It doesn't seem to be in his platform. But if you prefer Romney to him, your view of Johnson would make sense.

I would be interested in the reasoning behind your belief that a vote for Johnson is a vote for Romney.

I personally would vote for Obama over Romney, but what I'm hearing from the pundits is that Johnson will pull about ten percent more votes from Romney than Obama.

I admit I have the luxury of not living in a swing state, so my vote has no chance of affecting the outcome of this presidential election no matter who I vote for. It's kind of liberating.

It would be nice if we had our version of Nader to take votes away from Romney, but we don't. I do live in a swing state and I can tell you it damned well does matter to me.

I am sick of one class of people thinking they are the only class in this country. Obama DOES care and is trying to do the right thing for both bisuness owners and workers. If Obama were coorupt there would be no reason for him to support anything that big business hates.

There is an incidious political add aimed at the Democrtatic party with a Republican supporter, an old guy, who escaped the communist block. It is a sick attempt to paint the democratic party as anti business and pro lazy.

I really fucking get sick of that shit. It is typical right wing propaganda and doublespeak on par with Orwell's 1984. What is sicker morso is that people buy into that false dicotomy and fearmongering and far to often gets people to vote against their own self interest.

No sane person I know who is a non business owner working class or working poor hates wealth. All we hate is getting squeazed and the pay gap and cost of living gap. So when these idiots complain about getting rid of the middle man, they actually do have the power to do that, but they just dont want to because profits are always more important than people to that ilk. If they would get their heads out of their asses they'd see more direct help and more direct investment and an end to wild speculative bad bets and betting both sides of a win or lose, if they stopped doing all that destructive shit, they could get more of what they want.

But for them to cry like they are the victims when they caused this mess is a flat out fucking joke, it would be laughable if it were not a reality.

I'm pretty sure AF just acknowledges that both side's are corrupt and should be dealt with as such.

I missed this because I came in much later on this thread. This sums it up pretty nicely. I would probably have expressed it in a more pussyfooted way, but I agree with the both the words and the sentiment .. suckers of cock!

Where do you get that, they are not a newspaper and since they have several mods, they would have to have a pow wow and have a majority of the mods and owners pick a candidate, which they have not done to my knowledge.

Saying that a majority of members here support Obama is not the same as saying everyone on the site, or the site owners are in 100% agreement.

The only part of your quote I do agree with on a personal level is HELL YEA OBAMA AND FUCK ROMNEY.
