Hipster = going through a homeless person's shopping car and wearing their clothes.
Scene = going on weheartit and copying the colors and symbols into your clothing palette.
Emo = Look like an over-made up version of Panic! at the Disco.

Hey...did we ever do that here? Talk about our style icons? Does anyone else have a person/persons they look up to for style choices? David and I have this conversation all the time.

So what constitutes "a scene" though - is it like 'the grunge scene' or 'the goth scene' - something complete with its own music and style?

Scene, in what I understood, merely designated the culture and over all appearance (like the scene evoked by a short grassland to denote a prairie).
