This is the question asked during the above situation:
which one do you use to refer to?
I've answer this like 10 times for you Read carfully because it will be the last time:
No you have not. Liar. I have not even asked this particular question 10 times. You are avoiding the question. It was YOU who said you would tell me WHICH ONE(single unit, understand) you would use in a particular situation with a question.
Quote: IT DEPENDS ON WHO I AM SPEAKING TO, AND IT DEPENDS ON THE QUESTION ASKED.
What if you are not talking to anyone and no question is being asked, which bible would you use for yourself?
Quote:For someone SLOW or with little to no experience in the bible I will use the easy to read version. It is not a direct translation (not a holy bible) but here principles are more important to grasp that the idea of scriptural purity. For someone with a christian back ground or for someone who has a question based on a specific interpertation of a word i will use the Blue letter or JKV or NKJV or even the Amlified depending on the topic and if the question can be answered directly off page or if we have to go back to the greek or hebrew.
If this still does not answer your question then may I suggest you answer my questions before you bother posting again.
The "Blue letter" is not a version of a holy bible, it is a holy bible tool. On the blue letter website it has a list of version with just abbreviations. Could you please tell us what the abbreviations mean
KJV
NKJV
NLT
NIV
ESV
RVR
NASB
RSV
ASV
YLT
DBY
WEB
HNV
VUL
WLC(Hebrew)
LXX(Greek)
mGNT(Greek)
TR(Greek)
Do you know how many versions of the bible are?(approximation is okay)
Quote:Who is it you understand the bible to be translated.
Do not understand the question.
Quote:Did we somehow start with the King James and each subsequent version is a different interpertation of the material the King james was translated from or was each subsequent version just a different interpertation of the KJV?
No
Quote:Why is this important?
It is not important, it is just amazing why it is so hard for me to know exactly which version you use. I understand you use different versions for different situations. I am trying to know which version you use if someone on this forum asks you a question about the holy bible.
Quote:Do you believe any english bible to be the infalliable word of God?
No, I do not believe in the bible or god.
Quote:Do you believe we were orginally given the bible in english?
No
Quote: If not where did the bible come from?
I do not know.
Quote:Why does my 'faith' have to fit your paradyme of Christianity?
It does not. It was YOU who said GIVE ME A SITUATION AND QUESTION AND YOU WOULD TELL ME WHICH VERSION. I fitted my question to what you said you needed to answer the question. It is your continual movement of goal posts and reluctance to answer the question.
Quote: Why do I have to only have one bible?
You were the one who said that you would use a particular bible for a given situation and question.
Quote:What country do you live in the All Christians are mandated to only use one bible?
It is a silly and irrelevant question, but I will play along with you. None.
Quote: Then what is your obsession over this?
To me it started out as a simple question. Then you gave a smart ass response and not an answer to the question. You have said many times now that you use many bibles, UNDERSTOOD. It could have been quite simple for you to explain this from the very first time I asked my original question. Your avoidance to answer the question made me curious as to why you are defensive of the question(What do you have to hide). It may seem like an obsession to you because you keep avoiding the question and I keep asking, that is all.
It was you who said you would tell me which bible for which situation and question. Once again my situation and/or question was too general for you. We could keep going round in circles, so that people on this website can know which bible you will use for each particular verse.
Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Darkstar was asking?(I could be wrong, I said Darkstar, because he seems to know about the bible)
Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Minimalist was asking?(Because you 2 get along so well)
Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Lion was asking?(Because Lion is a silly christian)
Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Daniel was asking?(Because Daniel is a christian with many 'friends')
I do not think it is possible to get anymore pacific than I have as above. Stop avoiding my questions.
Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if I was asking? I know shit about the bible, so according to what I understand from you, you would use the easy to read version for me. When was it published and by who?
Easy to Read version Genesis 1
1 God created the sky and the earth. At first,
2 the earth was completely empty. There was nothing on the earth. Darkness covered the ocean, and God’s Spirit moved over[a] the water.
Question: How was it possible for darkness to cover the ocean when it was not there? How could god spirit move over water that was not there? The very first 2 lines of the bible and there are errors. How is it that your supposed god stuffed up the first 2 lines? If god is perfect, why are the first 2 lines wrong?
Don''t forget to answer the following;(you keep avoiding questions)
Can you show me an online dictionary where One means bible?
What's so special(or different) about the translating of the bible compared to other texts?
What is your important life changing question you want to move onto?
