This is the question asked during the above situation:

which one do you use to refer to?

I've answer this like 10 times for you Read carfully because it will be the last time:

IT DEPENDS ON WHO I AM SPEAKING TO, AND IT DEPENDS ON THE QUESTION ASKED. For someone SLOW or with little to no experience in the bible I will use the easy to read version. It is not a direct translation (not a holy bible) but here principles are more important to grasp that the idea of scriptural purity. For someone with a christian back ground or for someone who has a question based on a specific interpertation of a word i will use the Blue letter or JKV or NKJV or even the Amlified depending on the topic and if the question can be answered directly off page or if we have to go back to the greek or hebrew.

If this still does not answer your question then may I suggest you answer my questions before you bother posting again.

Who is it you understand the bible to be translated.

Did we somehow start with the King James and each subsequent version is a different interpertation of the material the King james was translated from or was each subsequent version just a different interpertation of the KJV?

Why is this important? Do you believe any english bible to be the infalliable word of God?

Do you believe we were orginally given the bible in english? If not where did the bible come from?

Why does my 'faith' have to fit your paradyme of Christianity? Why do I have to only have one bible? What country do you live in the All Christians are mandated to only use one bible? Then what is your obsession over this?

What you said:

Obviously - your christinsanity does not have to match that of others.

Christinsanity is a Smorgasbord religion - with the "believers" choosing the points in which to beleive - and rejecting what they do not agree with - making it a personal work in progress - which is simply MORE proof that it is nonsense.

If the god were real - it would establish a single unified acceptance of its reality - but no such thing exists. And worse - it is NOT the only possible claim regarding higher powers as well - there are literally Thousands of them

And for a logical person - how does a person wade through this quagmire of gods and beliefs ? Well - while there are those who claim that you cannot prove a god dioes not exist - that is simply NOT TRUE. Gods of religions are not a simple generic higher power - that might or might not have done anything. THere are specific claims made about gods of religions - and one can TEST those claims to see if they ALL can be true. IF they cannot be - then the god of that religion is not true as well.

AND that is where the variability of christinsanity comes in - because KNOWING that no being could possible fulfill all of the contradictory and impossible claims made in the bible alone - an xtian must either disregard lots of what is there - or simply make up his own list of what he will accept.

No you have not. Liar. I have not even asked this particular question 10 times. You are avoiding the question. It was YOU who said you would tell me WHICH ONE(single unit, understand) you would use in a particular situation with a question.

The "Blue letter" is not a version of a holy bible, it is a holy bible tool. On the blue letter website it has a list of version with just abbreviations. Could you please tell us what the abbreviations mean
KJV
NKJV
NLT
NIV
ESV
RVR
NASB
RSV
ASV
YLT
DBY
WEB
HNV
VUL
WLC(Hebrew)
LXX(Greek)
mGNT(Greek)
TR(Greek)

Do you know how many versions of the bible are?(approximation is okay)
Quote:Who is it you understand the bible to be translated.
Do not understand the question.
Quote:Did we somehow start with the King James and each subsequent version is a different interpertation of the material the King james was translated from or was each subsequent version just a different interpertation of the KJV?
No
Quote:Why is this important?
It is not important, it is just amazing why it is so hard for me to know exactly which version you use. I understand you use different versions for different situations. I am trying to know which version you use if someone on this forum asks you a question about the holy bible.
Quote:Do you believe any english bible to be the infalliable word of God?
No, I do not believe in the bible or god.
Quote:Do you believe we were orginally given the bible in english?
No
Quote: If not where did the bible come from?
I do not know.
Quote:Why does my 'faith' have to fit your paradyme of Christianity?
It does not. It was YOU who said GIVE ME A SITUATION AND QUESTION AND YOU WOULD TELL ME WHICH VERSION. I fitted my question to what you said you needed to answer the question. It is your continual movement of goal posts and reluctance to answer the question.
Quote: Why do I have to only have one bible?
You were the one who said that you would use a particular bible for a given situation and question.
Quote:What country do you live in the All Christians are mandated to only use one bible?
It is a silly and irrelevant question, but I will play along with you. None.
Quote: Then what is your obsession over this?
To me it started out as a simple question. Then you gave a smart ass response and not an answer to the question. You have said many times now that you use many bibles, UNDERSTOOD. It could have been quite simple for you to explain this from the very first time I asked my original question. Your avoidance to answer the question made me curious as to why you are defensive of the question(What do you have to hide). It may seem like an obsession to you because you keep avoiding the question and I keep asking, that is all.
It was you who said you would tell me which bible for which situation and question. Once again my situation and/or question was too general for you. We could keep going round in circles, so that people on this website can know which bible you will use for each particular verse.

Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Darkstar was asking?(I could be wrong, I said Darkstar, because he seems to know about the bible)

Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Minimalist was asking?(Because you 2 get along so well)

Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Lion was asking?(Because Lion is a silly christian)

Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Daniel was asking?(Because Daniel is a christian with many 'friends')

I do not think it is possible to get anymore pacific than I have as above. Stop avoiding my questions.

Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if I was asking? I know shit about the bible, so according to what I understand from you, you would use the easy to read version for me. When was it published and by who?

Easy to Read version Genesis 1
1 God created the sky and the earth. At first,
2 the earth was completely empty. There was nothing on the earth. Darkness covered the ocean, and God’s Spirit moved over[a] the water.

Question: How was it possible for darkness to cover the ocean when it was not there? How could god spirit move over water that was not there? The very first 2 lines of the bible and there are errors. How is it that your supposed god stuffed up the first 2 lines? If god is perfect, why are the first 2 lines wrong?

Don''t forget to answer the following;(you keep avoiding questions)

Can you show me an online dictionary where One means bible?

What's so special(or different) about the translating of the bible compared to other texts?

What is your important life changing question you want to move onto?

No as I said from the beginning the blue letter is a Greek/Hebrew Lexicon. Meaning it gives each word a number and then the orginal word that it was translated from, plus a several definations and then which defination was used in a given context.

Quote:Do you know how many versions of the bible are?(approximation is okay)
There are over two thousand different translations in different languages.

Quote:It is not important, it is just amazing why it is so hard for me to know exactly which version you use.
Because you assume that every christian can only use one translation. I do not have a favorite. Each translations has it's strengths and weaknesses. I use the strongest one according to what it is I am trying to accomplish.

Quote:I understand you use different versions for different situations. I am trying to know which version you use if someone on this forum asks you a question about the holy bible
Depending on the specific question I may use several different translations.

This is becomming a pearls before swine excersize really quickly.

Quote:Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Darkstar was asking?
NKJV or the blue letter based on the question he has asked.

Quote:Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Minimalist was asking?(Because you 2 get along so well)
When He asks a question, I use the Blue letter because he does not acknoweledge given translations. I have to give the greek.

Quote:Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Lion was asking?(Because Lion is a silly christian)
Ampflied because he would undoubtedly would want to see any orther verses that tied to what we were discussing.

Quote:Question is, which bible would you use for each verse of the holy bible if Daniel was asking?(Because Daniel is a christian with many 'friends')
All christians would get an initial offering from the NKJV or the Amplified depending on the question.

being a person, thing, or individual instance or member of a number, kind, group, or category indicated: one member of the party.

The Context of the answer given refered to the Kind, group, or catagory indicated of bible I was prone to use. A Holy "One." Just like if you asked what color of Car i drove. I would have reasponded a "Red ONE."

Quote:What's so special(or different) about the translating of the bible compared to other texts?
Because their are singular texts being contextually translated. (kinda like the easy to read version.) With the bible there a acoupple different codexs or several different source materials that one can use to translate into a legitmate bible.

What is the greatest command of Christianity. the one command that all Christians unite under?
(I won't make fun of you if you do not know. I ask because it give legitmacy to every form of christianity)

Quote:If the god were real - it would establish a single unified acceptance of its reality -
He did this with the Jews and with Christians (I suppose for not other reason so we would know that one religion lead by men will not work.) Look at the Failure of the Jews with the Pharasees and Saducees. Look at the Christian failure durning the Dark ages. Why would God want to establish something He knows will not work even after He has proved it to us several different times?

Quote:And for a logical person - how does a person wade through this quagmire of gods and beliefs ? You can start be reasearching what these religions actually believe rather than painting them with a broad brush, and assuming that all are pretty much the same. I can tell you after twenty some odd years of this (looking at other religions as well as Christianity) that none of the others offer a personal indewelling relationship with the God of the universe. If I were to choose between a relationship with God and enlightenment (and I literally did) I would choose relationship every time.

Says the guy who heard from another guy who stood on the sidelines of some church...

You are speaking in broad meaning generalities. If you want to discuss specific we can, if not or if you can not speak to specifics just ask a question.
