This is a reprocessed, cropped version of one of the first significant astrophotos I took back in June 2010. I've learned a lot since then, particularly about processing. I can do better. It needs a a lot more exposure time.

Enjoy,

"In short, Meyer has shown that his first disastrous book was not a fluke: he is capable of going into any field in which he has no training or research experience and botching it just as badly as he did molecular biology. As I've written before, if you are a complete amateur and don't understand a subject, don't demonstrate the Dunning-Kruger effect by writing a book about it and proving your ignorance to everyone else! I wish I had the finantial availability to buy the apparatus to properly gaze at our beautifull universe. Ah well, still, with naked eye, when I'm feeling low, I like to look up to the stars and wonder. It makes it all feel that much better. Thanks Oro-man Wink

You should consider joing an astronomy club. You don't have to own your own equipment. Usually, club member are happy to provide a loaner.
