No Cat, floods happen, "the flood" did not, and could not. You do realize that the flood they're referring to in that paper was in no way a wall of water. Nothing sudden, nothing more impressive than the formation of a salt water river that inundated a ready made freshwater delta over the course of a very long time - and then reversed flow back into the sea, back and forth, multiple times. No, of course you didn't realize that, because you didn't read the paper. You thought that it offered support for your flood and that was enough for you.
I've already said it, I'll say it again, leverage that cherry picking mandate, ditch this narrative - it isn't even a possibility.

Ohhhh, I see what you're doing... You go from denying that a global flood could happen, to denying that a local flood could happen, to denying "the flood" could happen.
It's amazing the hoops that you'll jump through to save face.

If the best you have is to pretend that I'm arguing against the existence of floods...
Floods happen, your flood, global or local, is an impossibility. What is so difficult to understand about this?

stop making war! we must stick together! otherwise the dark lord Sauron will return and rule Middle Earth like he did before!
(i know its just a story in a book but this story is so full of details and it is so real that i have to accept it as true, right?)

Well, you know, war happens, so there's at least the possibility that a dark lord raised an army of orcs - maybe it was just local.
