Unless otherwise stated, the animal is not raised any differently than average supermarket animal. The only difference is the method of killing the animal.

This.

That's what I was going to essentially say.

Or maybe you wouldn't...since, you know, you were god and there were a lot more interesting things out there than their debates on whether or not a woman's PMS was a "crude, foul thing" that made women abhorrent to the "superior male sight."

Fuck the abrahamic religions are retarded.

Amen! Any religion that doesn't specifically include bacon as part of its sacrements is not just DOA, but FWFC! (FWFC = Fucked Without Further Consideration)

In slaughterhouses (well most of them), the process is quick and instant. Separate the head from the body before the animal can feel much.

In the Halal process, the animal is made to undergo excruciating pain and suffering till the last breath. Its the cruelest method of slaughter and no surprises that this is associated with a religion that prides itself for advocating such cruel acts, not only on animals but fellow human being beings.

Bacon is, itself, a religion. Complete with rites of preparation (the delicate laying of the slabs upon the searing hot pan), sermons (WOOO, BACON!!), idols of worship (the bacon itself), and a caste hierarchy of theocracy (the BLT, the bacon-fried eggs, the bacon sundae, the bacon-beef-breakfast, the breakfast sammich, etc).

And this religion is superior to all because unlike most other religions, bacon does not pretend to hide from consumerism; bacon requires money for its grace, but it is a small price indeed for the comfort of the sizzling, succulent treat. And it is always there when you need it. It answers your cries of hunger with its smoky, rich smell that permeates your home, gracing it with its holy olfactory presence, and your tastebuds with its mouth-watering flavor. It fills your stomach, not as a rock, nor as a piece of bread, but as only bacon can; with satisfaction.

All hail the mighty swine-cuts! For they are our prophets of joy in these darkened days!

I work in a big department store and never did know what the sign over one small section in the meat department that says, "halal" meant, until now.

In fact this is necessary. Heightened levels of pain increase the levels of adrenaline, which ruins the flavor, texture, and aging of the meat. A suffering animal is an animal that will not be very marketable.

I thought "halal and kosher" were just religious scams to take money from the gullible.

Mainly since these terms are not limited to meat alone. Like the "halal" Pork ribs = Hehe funny.

Personally my understanding is that basically its meat. No different really. Apart from that all the blood is left to drain out of the animal. This means that their is less blood for germs to grow meaning less chance of disease. But if you can cook it doesn't really matter because when you cook you kill the germs anyway. In theory it should last longer in storage because of less blood which is a perfect culture for germs which allow the meat to go of. On the foot of like is it healthier like does it have less fat or lowers cholesterol or out like that. I dont think so its just normal meat.

This is False.
The Islamic Method of Slaughtering animals, known as Zabiha, has been the object of much criticism from a large number of people.

The following points will prove that the Zabiha method is the most humane method and scientifically the best:

1. Islamic method of slaughtering the animal Zakkaytum is a verb derived from the root word Zakat (to purify). Its infinitive is Tazkiyah which means purification. The Islamic mode of slaughtering requires the following conditions to be met:

* Animal should be slaughtered with sharp object (knife) The animal has to be slaughtered with a sharp object (knife) and in a fast way so that the pain of slaughter is minimised.

* Cut wind pipe, throat and vessels of neck Zabiha is an Arabic word which means 'slaughtered'. The 'slaughtering' is to be done by cutting the throat, wind pipe and the blood vessels in the neck causing the animal's death without cutting the spinal cord.

* Blood should be drained The blood has to be drained completely before the head is removed. The purpose is to drain out most of the blood which would serve as a good culture medium for micro-organisms. The spinal cord must not be cut because the nerve fibres to the heart could be damaged during the process causing cardiac arrest, stagnating the blood in the blood vessels.

2. Blood is a good medium for germs and bacteria Blood is a good media of germs, bacteria, toxins etc. Therefor the Muslim way of slaughtering is more hygienic as most of the blood containing germs, bacteria, toxins, etc that are the cause of several diseases are eliminated.

3. Meat remains fresh for a longer time
Meat slaughtered by Islamic way remains fresh for a longer time due to deficiency of blood in the meat as compared to other method of slaughtering.

4. Animal does not feel pain.
The swift cutting of the vessels of the neck disconnects the flow of blood to the nerve of the brain responsible for pain. Thus the animal does not feel pain. While dying, the animal
struggles, writhers, shakes and kicks, not due to pain, but due to contraction and relaxation of the muscles deficient in blood and due to the flow of blood out of the body.

Don’t believe me?:

A team at the university of Hannover in Germany examined claims that the Islamic method of slaughter was cruel through the use of EEG and ECG records during slaughter. Several electrodes were surgically implanted at various points of the skull of all the animals used in the experiment and they wre ten allowed to recover for several weeks. Some of the animals were subsequently slaughtered the halal way by making a swift, deep incision with a sharp knife on the neck. The remainder were stunned before slaughter using a captive bolt pistol method as is customary in western slaughterhouses. The EEG and ECG recording allowed to monitor the condition of the brain and heart throughout.

Halal Method
With the halal method of slaughter, there was no change in the EEG graph for the first three seconds after the incision was made, indicating that the animal did not feel pain from the cut itself. The following three seconds were characterised by a condition of deep sleep-like unconsciousness brought about by the draining of large quantities of blood from the body. Thereafter the EEG recorded a zero reading, indicating no pain at all, yet at that time the heart was still beating. This is the stage which is most unpleasant to onlookers ,due to spasms of the animal , who are falsely convinced the animal suffers whereas the brain does actually no longer record any sensual messages and feels no pain.

The western method

Using the western method, the animals were apparently unconscious after stunning, and this method of dispatch would appear to be much more peaceful for the onlooker. However, the EEG readings indicated sever pain immediately after stunning. Whereas in the halal method, the animal seizes to feel pain due to the brain starvation of blood and oxygen, the western method causes a stoppage of the heart whilst the animal still feels pain.

So overall the Islamic method of slaughtering is in fact more humane than western methods of slaughtering and is a more clean and healthy lowering the chance of disease.

I'm open to any new information because as always my knowledge could be incorrect.

Sorry buddy you are just fooling yourself.

It's just another method (I have grave doubts about the lack of "suffering" you propose for Halal) but hey it is also a great way to steal money off ignorant people. Had to laugh at "Halal Bleach" no seriously!! What a joke!
