Personal experience is a crap criteria for judging facts.
The senses are a fragile thing and can be easily upset by anxiety, tricks of he light, drugs, illness (both physical and mental) and of course people like to play tricks on other people.
Crop circles are a prime example of people pissing about just to fool the feeble minded.
Science pares away things that cloud judgement by getting to the actual facts as much as possible .
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

That does it then, I'm believing in science. Just two questions. How much do I tithe and where do I send the check?

I am confused as to what the actual topic here is.

The first time I had acid was with a young woman I visited at the house she lived in on the beach. I brought her a picture I'd drawn of her running across the night sky in front of an old tree in which I'd drawn her hair as the tail of a comet. She pinned it up when I first came in. After taking the acid we decided to go for a walk. At the door, I saw in my drawing that the figure I'd drawn of her was actually running. Realizing I was experiencing a hallucination, I looked closer. Every line I'd drawn looked like blood vein under magnification. I could see blood and light coursing through each one. At that time, I couldn't look at it without seeing this but at no point did I think it was objectively happening. Perception need not equal cognition, and seeing need not be believing.

Why'd you create a new thread?!

What is this "topic" you speak of? I just shoot my mouth off in the general direction of what people are talking about or whatever free associations or flashbacks that brings to mind. Are the threads supposed to be themed?

And in both threads, my own answer would be the same; ie none, obviously, or else I'd be a theist. I for one don't 'disbelieve' purely for the sake of being contrary. Bring me something I can sink my teeth into, something fresh for preference, and I'll taste it for its nutritional content.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I appears you have forgotten the original question.
You claim to have a personal relationship with god.
Several serial killers have also claimed a personal relationship with god where he tells them to kill people.
The question is, why should we treat their claim differently to yours?

Because this particular christian has a shiny bible verse that absolves him of all annoying speech and even hateful actions. Mark 13:13 is a verse that justifies all manner of stupidity and socially unacceptable behavior. The Westboro Baptist people use it as one of their favorite mantras - which says a lot doesn't it?
Answer: I treat him the exact same as the serial killer who hears voices. Either a fool or a nut case. Either way, he has said nothing I haven't heard a thousand times before.

To answer the question ; you should not treat me differently , you should treat every one the same ( and lets not get into semantic about my wording but get my point) "This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another." 1 john 3:11
