Yep. Oh yeah.

Case in point: What is hell? Just ask that question and see what answers ya get.

Yep, Hell doesn't appear on the scene until the interyestamental period. Not a concept in OT.

the reason why most people know christianity is false is because of biblical scholars who see the contradictions and the stupidity of it all so id say yes there is a place for them in a debate, to me theres so much stupidity within christianity i cant see the point in debating about it, its just an insane religion and i think islam is much more of a challenge although its also pretty stupid.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Considering that Christians were among the first, if not actually the first, to be called atheists, I applaud the platitude.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Yep, Hell doesn't appear on the scene until the interyestamental period. Not a concept in OT.

Does the Bible say anything about where Jesus went when he died on the cross then was resurrected three days later?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

For myself, you sound like a potential ally.

Most of them think "context" means "makes god look good".

If you think "And I heard God say to the other men, “Follow him through the city and kill. Spare no one; have mercy on no one. Kill the old men, young men, young women, mothers, and children." means that God is commanding people to commit evil atrocities, you will get one of two responses by our resident theists:

1: You are reading it out of context.
2: Genocide is not evil if God commands it.

I wanted to insert a picture of Shub-Niggurath eating you here, but I just couldn't get up to doing the shop, so you get this lame text description instead.
