So this was our backyard about 6 weeks ago, and way back and to the right there is a hilly area that is slated for a couple of hundred new homes.

But until this line is drawn, I'm reluctant to invest. I'd hate to put out a lot of cash and then lose it all. And we like the suburbs rather than being in a congested big city.
Since ancient times Israel has had to fight and suffer for it's very existence. What the Jews suffered under Nazi Germany wasn't their only holocaust. The Northern Kingdom of Israel suffered an invasion and holocaust by the Assyrians...and then the Southern Kingdom of Judah suffered the same under the invading Babylonians. The Jews were forced into a diaspora, but were allowed to return to their homeland and rebuild under Persian rule until the Roman invasion of Israel in 70 A.D. In 1948 the Jews returned again to their ancient homeland only to suffer through more wars and threats of annihilation by its hostile Arab neighbors. Israel has given up too much and they have suffered too much to allow even just one grain of sand to be handed over to terrorists and to terrorist states, like Iran, who seek nothing more than its annihilation. Israel is not the criminal in this struggle.

It's important because my government does not support Sudan, Birma, Angola etc but it does support Israel, China (tibet), etc.etc. Not only my government ignores the violations, they even always back up the governments of Israel whatever choices they make. I support a friendly relationship with Israel very much, but one must stay critical especially to your friends.

Again, Hamas is nuts but that doesn't mean that's a reason to start for instance the Gaza 2008 war. Just look at the casualties.

this is nothing but collateral damage.

This will sound cold to you, and it is. To believe that war can be conducted without civilian casualties is a delusion.
There were many wars which are accepted to have been justified with many more civilian casualties.
Plus, it is even harder in Gaza where the line between civilian and fighter is blurred, a country in which children are sent to suicide bombings.

Israel is a sovereign country, and a sovereign country has not only the right but the obligation to defend itself.
If Hamas fires rockets into Israel, Israel has the right to strike back.

Just like the people of Hamburg and Dresden did when it was bombed to the ground, or the SS officers who were hunted down and executed by the allies and later the mossad.

I DO NOT TOLERATE INTOLERANCE

You can post as many pics of dead kids as you like, it does not change the fact that they died under a goverment their parents chose for them and if they no longer want their children dead it is on them to change that.

I guess it doesnt matter, you are an arab and a citizen of a country which has successfully chased all it`s jewish citizens out of it`s country AFTER THE HOLOCAUST thereby ironicly making it clear how necessery Israel is.
And currently churches are going uo in flames as your countries leaders dream of islam ruling the world.

When Egypt or any arab country is a peacefull mulitcultural democracy, you may return and lecrure me on tolerance.

Germans, you read my topic about the middle east. Why do you think I favor arabs ? believe me, I attack arabs more than Israel or the Jews.

Israelies are smarter, more educated, more loyal, and many other things that makes me respect them, and actually put an eye on them to "join me" instead of "being against me".

The people chose hammas because simply there is nobody else. Fatah is submissive, and the people need somebody strong.. It's why you'll see many arabs who pray for Saddam today. It's just the need for somebody strong who can protect his people -yeah, wonder why we feel that we need protection-.

But Israel has reached a level similar to hitler ! btw they used to do this even before Hammas, read more history to know about it !

Arabs were also stupid because they blew up jewish athletes & civilians. But I said many times, this topic is about Israel !!

Egypt sucks. Its government sucks. Its revolution was all lost.
saudi arabia is a medieval country.

The other arabs aren't better.
Israel ? it also ain't better ; it's even worse. That all I wanted people to see here, as I told Rhythm.

Check out Hayo Meyer. He is a Physicist and a passive member of the Dutch green left, like me. Because of his criticism of the government of Israel, people say he is an anti-semite too. Which is fucking ridiculous, since he is jewish. Being critical of a country doesn't mean I like islamic nutcases or whatever.

"Need someone strong"

We once had that Idea here in Germany and it didnt turn out that well. "Strong man" what bunch of crap.

Israel is a thousand times better than Egypt, it is a democracy in which homosexuals arent executed, women have the same rights, minorities are represented and tolerated and most importent of all - people vote for representation.

All of which cannot be found in any arab country.

To equate Israel to this savage holes is a lie and disgusting.

You're racist Germans, and truly know nothing about Egypt ! visit the country from time to time ; Germans come a lot actually Big Grin

There are gays in my college, there are gay bars & clubs in here if you don't know. Egypt is one of the most sinful countries in the Arab world, especially sex is not a shame here.

I knew a friend who expressed his opinions about homosexuality being okay in the college's foodcourt, with loud voice, in front of me & everybody else.. I remember that discussion ending with him saying : "try it ! you might like it"..

No, nobody touches gays in here Big Grin they're everywhere !!
