10. Is your atheism a political statement? Definitely not.
11. Were you recruited into atheism by the promises of sex and drugs? No, and I was never recruited.

There are no eternal consequences. I have been in a monogamous relationship with the same woman for many years. I don't do drugs. I drink a glass of wine about once a week.

Most of the music I listen to would be classified as "progressive rock'. But I also love some forms of jazz and modern and avant garde classical.

My atheism is a result of my skepticism. It is a provisional position. I will continue to be an atheist as long as there continues to be insufficient demonstrable evidence, reasoned argument and valid logic to support the claim that a god exists.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
