Perhaps the sort of atheists who, while not believing in God, per se, believe in equally bullshit-ish things, Apo? It's not a far step from believing in an impersonal force driving the universe to working yourself up to believing in a personal god if you have life problems that lead you to sink away into cognitive dissonance.
