North Korea - smear on atheism?

North Korea - smear on atheism?
North Korea's state atheist philosophy is apparently against freedom (a post-Christian atheist ideal).

Is it against freedom?

Or is it an example if Atheist tyranny?

Are people forced to not-believe Gods exist? How does that work?

Just one more question - are they not 'true' atheists (akin a deviant sect)?

Someone can only not be a 'true' atheist, if they believe a God exists.

Actually, its cult of personality dictatorship has more in common with religion than atheism. They see their leader as a divine figure and will do whatever he says.

Seems that religious people make up a significant minority in the country but generally people don't consider it a 'free country'

Eg.

So they are not 'true' atheists - they say they are but they are not?

That question was for FTNM...

Explain this to me, Dawud. How is advocating that your leader is of divine origin state-sponsored atheism?

If you say you're an atheist, but you believe in a God: you're not an atheist.

Same line of thought when people say that Stalin was an example of "atheist tyranny".
