Maybe.. Clara is a timelord? That's just my Doctor Who newbie theory though.
Also: yeah Rose sucked. I miss Amy, but Clara's okay.
This is my all time favorite Doctor Who moment so far..
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

My take on Nu- Who is already on record, so if no-one minds I'll link it rather than type it all out again. On the whole "female Doctor" thing, it's interesting that this first came up at the end of Tom Baker's tenure, when - in mischievous mood - he commented along the lines of "I wish the next Doctor all the best, whoever he or she may be". We've had that bloody millstone ever since. Think of it: while most Time Lord characters have had fairly gender-neutral names, it's notable that the female ones were invariably referred to as Time Ladies. Then there was the individual who went by the name of the Meddling Monk (are there any lady monks?). The Master would have to become the Mistress. And as for Susan, the Doctor's granddaughter...
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Does that mean we get two hot chicks or just one and a guy?
Actually I thought the ep with the doctor's daughter was going to lead to that to see if the audience buys it. Jack Harkness got what? six eps to start?

Tell that to the doctor. This one was checking out his new body and sort of freaked for a second thinking his long hair might mean he was a woman.

Which would be why he freaked out. Derp.
It doesn't have to be in Gallifreyan for Clara to have been able to read it. It could literally be in any other language. We have to assume that the Doctor wrote it, since who the hell else could have written a history of the Time War, so he may very well have written it in English, as he clearly is not speaking Gallifreyan all the time.

I do not play games second-guessing script writers but one does not "freak" on what is impossible rather just a man with long hair.

Getting a little serious there, bud? The script-writers are the ones who distinguished between Time Lords and Time Ladies, not me playing games. And, yes, one can and will "freak" on what is "impossible." People do it all the time. Besides, if becoming female were completely natural, why would he freak out? But, don't take my word for it. Just look at the fact that male and female Gallifreyans are separated by name, as are humans males and females and the fact that in the course of like 50 fucking years, there has never been a female Doctor. I mean, who is playing games here, really?

In the Doctor's Wife, the Doctor mentions that the Corsair regenerated into a woman once or twice. Dunno how canon you all find the new Who stuff, but it's there.
In Curse of the Fatal Death, the Doctor himself did the same damn thing, though obviously that's non canon.

For right now I find the "she's a living meme" theory the most interesting, though I doubt that's what's actually going to happen. If she was a Time Lord the Daleks would have found her much chewier in the Asylum when they converted her... but I haven't shown you that part yet.

The most recent writers make it a point to comment that the Doctor A. jokes and B. lies. When he makes off-hand comments like that, I don't think anything of it, mainly because there have been Time Lords of both genders in the series and they always regenerate to the same gender. Tiberius actually pointed out to me today another weird one. The Doctor says weird shit and contradicts himself all the time. To be honest, I just don't think they'll change genders. It would be more difficult to write off all the other stuff than one off-hand comment.
