Well I'm still happy you introduced me to Doctor Who. I loves it Cliff hanger or not.
Just so long as they don't take my 11th Doctor away..
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

FYI if you watch the episode closely you notice that Clara mentions that

I don't think he's the Valeyard. I think he's the regeneration in-between McGann and Eccleston who committed genocide in the Time War, thus he wasn't considered to be "The Doctor" by any of the other incarnations. So Eccleston is still the 9th Doctor, but he's actually the 10th incarnation.
Plus, John Hurt's costume looks like a cross between McGann's and Eccleston's:

^Yep that info's been leaked. Just like how the entire episode of "Rose" was leaked weeks before the original broadcast in 2005, lol! FYI I don't like the costume at all, I think they've made a mistake by making an "in-between" costume. Eccleston's costume was meant to look like a "traveller", someone not tied down to one place.
I don't mind the fact that Eccleston has refused to take part in the special - what I do mind is the fact that there seems to be no willingness to get Paul McGann to reprise his role. McGann would be great, put him in the wig he hates so much (don't know why he complains, Hartnell did 3 full series in a wig) and get on with it IMO.
Another thing about the finale is that at the beginning we hear one of the Gallifreyans say "what kind of idiot would try and steal a faulty TARDIS" ... why can't Moffat get these little things right? It should be "what kind of idiot would try and steal a faulty Time Travel Capsule?" There is only ONE "TARDIS" and it gets its name from Susan.

If the only two people who know the Doctor's name are the Doctor and River, and they're both dead, who set his name as the password?

It could be either Clara, Vastra, Jenny or Strax. Since they were all connected to the conference call and we know Clara could see and hear River then it is possible that they could all hear River as well. It was River that said the Doctor's name to open the tomb so all 4 could have heard the Doctor's name.
