Well, we have a working model in Britain, there's Ofcom, an independent communications regulator. It's not telling people what to say and think anymore than this forum tells people what to say and think by preventing multiple posts of propaganda or preaching etc. The whole point is to prevent people going overboard with their right to broadcast. It also has a complaints system so if I think that a channel is broadcasting a blatantly one-sided view of Atheism, religion, any political opinion, sexism or inflammatory remarks etc. I can actually pick up the phone so that they can investigate. This system works.
We do not have an Orwellian govt lol

Ofcom? You're joking, right? They're a panel of sexist Holier-Than-Thou moral relativists that think they can claim to say what is moral and what isn't, when there's no consensus or even scientific reason to think whatever they say is right.
If they're anything, they're a platform for giving a minority of radicals to bicker about their emotions being "offended".

And I can't watch that video for some reason because it's banned in the UK on copyright grounds....?
If I'm not mistaken, that clip is from the BBC, the BBC does not have the same broadcasting regulations as other channels because it's partly tax payer funded...that's why it is at a very high quality. There's nothing like the Beeb in the world

Well those guys had guns, were did they get them? If they had decided to use them no one would be able to defend themselves. If they had used guns in my area they would probably looked like Swiss cheese, which would have saved us millions in trials and their up keep in prison. Those two were violent people by nature and to justify their violent nature they join in with violent people and at some time their mental state broke and they turned their thoughts into an evil act upon an innocent victim. There are many questions today's society will need to answer and most likely some freedoms given up to rid ourselves of these radical terrorist. We will have to proceed slowly so that we are careful not to over react and take away to many freedoms.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

If the choice is a bullet or a machete..to be honest, I'd rather be shot. We've been over this "safer" bit before. You're less likely to be shot, but more likely to be assaulted (apparently, with fucking machetes). So, no.

You aren't talking about restricting speech in order to maintain public safety; i.e., not having the freedom to yell fire in a theater. You advocate censorship because you don't agree with what's being said. Huge difference.
