I wouldn't say all psychiatrists are evil. But then, they did turn my grandmother into an addict.

According to my wife, a psychologist who dislikes the practice of psychiatry, the problem with psychiatrists is that they rely too much on medications which often have dangerous and unpredictable side effects.

Psychiatrist are just like anyone else. There are some who are good at their job and some who are very bad at their job. There are some you will like and some you will not be able to tolerate. I find it very difficult to believe they would tell you it's wrong not to believe in god so either you're not seeing the right psychiatrist for you, or you are making it up. As for porn, that depends on the situation. If you watch porn 12 hours a day, it's perfectly reasonable they would tell you that it's having a negative impact on your life. I know someone who complains about every psychiatrist and therapist she's ever seen. The REAL problem is not the therapists. It's that she doesn't want to make any changes in her life and so she blames her lack of progress on their inability to understand.
