I was buying some beer the other week and the cashier looked at me in a suspicious way and asked me how old I was. I replied, "39." Then he says, "39? I'm 30 and you look younger than me." "Yeah, I get that a lot." And this is with having a beard too. If I shaved it off everybody would start carding me. Usually younger people don't card me. But that young girl at Walgreens has carded me several times since she started working. She either can't tell ages worth a crap, has a bad memory, or was checking out my info for other reasons. That was just weird.

People use to ask me for an ID in bars and shops when I wanted to buy liquor. So I grew a beard, which helped pritty well. Maybe you should grow a beard RE: How are you today?

I didn't know this posted. Lol. I was writing it and got a phone call and had to pop out... anyway... as I was saying.... It's great looking younger than you are, isn't it? My poor little sister often gets upset because she actually looks older than she is, and people assume I'm her little sister. It's been that way for years. She was doing this art project at the Tate when she was 15, and I was 17, and one day I went to pick her up from there and the lady running the thing asked me who I was waiting for then said "So you're here to meet your big sis?" But she said it like she was talking to a 9 year old. (I've just discovered) I'm at that age where I can't remember what age I am. 53, 54.. Meh, it's a big number.
I feel and act like I'm a lot younger (steady! :p). But I'm wondering if I really do look like an old git. Dammit!
Been to five eye glasses stores. Can't find anything I like.
