Would you like if all people became atheists?

For religious people it would be fantastic if all the people in the world embraced their religion. But for you atheist what do you prefer:

1- All people become atheists.

2- Most of them become atheists.

3- Various religious views which are distributed equally, but they coexist in peace.

4- The world as it is.

5- Otherwise (explain)

If all of them decided on their own that they have no reason to believe in Gods then sure.

While a world of only atheists would reduce a lot of global conflict and help humanity live a tad more peacefully, there is nothing wrong with being religious as long as it's not in anybody's face and as long as it doesn't cause explosions.

I pick option 3, or Minimalist's option 5.

Considering the religions of the world are hell bent on a war they don't even know why they're fighting, I'd take option 5. I don't give a fuck what you believe so make sure its likewise. Drop your historical tit for tat and lets move forward together.

I would prefer it if everyone was an atheist. Imagine the societal and scientific strides that could be made without religion being an absolute hindrance to progress.

Less of the fundamentalist faction, the ones that cause problems for society at large when they gather in groups to hinder societal progress because it threatens to knock their castle in the sky off its pedestal (you can still live in your goddamn castle, for fucks sake, it just can't float around raining hellfire on the rest of us). Or those types that go off and slaughter an entire village because the denizens worship different invisible beings. Yeah, less of those types of religious people.

I think it would be ideal for everyone to be an atheist because religious belief can be lethal especially when you think injuries can be healed at the scene of an accident. However, during my time as a Christian, I heard copious amounts of comments in passing that suggested that individual was possibly mentally unstable. If they weren't bound by eternal threats of punishment, then they would be harming society.

An example of this is one of my good friends at the time who, in passing, said that atheists should be having as much sex as possible since there's no objective to life. This means that if he were to deconvert right now, there's no mental filter in place to stop him from potentially getting sex in ways that violate other people's rights, as quite clearly, he projected his belief that he would want as much sex as possible.

It seems to me that unfortunately, religion is necessary for a select few who are on the border of becoming a real danger to society, and thus I do not wish for them to be atheists for their sake and mine.
