Why did the cop say there was a matching licence plate when there couldn't have been?

Because he's a liar?


Just a wild guess.

Well, OK that's one obvious solution. But suppose the plate was similar, maybe one digit different. That would be a reason to stop the car. It was night so either the original identifier or the cops could have been mistaken about the type and colour of the car.

Well, you're entitled to do so. But they mentioned the licence plate fairly early on.

I'm not saying you're wrong, just that there may be another explanation.

“I’m a retired fire captain and this is just the most outrageous thing I’ve ever heard in my life,” the woman’s father, Steve Olsen, was quoted as saying. “I am a total supporter of law enforcement, but this was wrong. This was out of control.”

Olsen’s daughter, Kylee Olsen, was arrested on Friday by San Bernardino County sheriffs deputies. At the time, Kylee, who was born with fetal alcohol syndrome, reportedly told officers she had “special needs.”

“They stopped me when I was getting on the bus,” she said. “They asked me when I had last used meth and I said I had never used it. They said my pupils were completely red and put me in the back of the car. I was really scared. I didn’t know what to do.”

I wonder if Daddy will "support law enforcement" so readily going forward.

Ferguson cop who arrested journalist being sued for tying up and choking 12-year-old boy

A police officer who arrested a journalist earlier this month in Ferguson, Missouri is also facing a federal civil rights lawsuit for allegedly attacking a 12-year-old boy while working for another department two years ago, the Huffington Post reported.

According to the Post‘s Ashley Alman and Ryan J. Reilly, the lawsuit, filed in September 2012 in a Missouri federal court, accuses Officer Justin Cosma of choking the boy around the neck and throwing him to the ground during a June 2010 encounter.

Some background checks they do there in Ferguson. Maybe this was his ticket on to the force?

Video shows police shot Ohio man ‘on sight’ as he leaned on toy gun in Walmart, attorney says

Surveillance video shows an Ohio man talking on a cell phone, leaning on a toy gun, and facing away from officers moments before police shot and killed him in a Walmart store, according to an attorney for the man’s family.

John Crawford III died Aug. 5 after police were called to Walmart in Beavercreek, near Dayton, by another shopper who reported a man carrying what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle.

The 22-year-old Crawford was instead carrying an unpackaged MK-177 (.177 caliber) BB/pellet rifle he picked up in the store’s toy department.
