RE: Cops arrest man for filming & shooting his dog Video

I just read the story on what happened, the police turned up to a report of an armed robbery, the guy was repeatedly told to turn his music down which he had on repeat on the sound system in his car because it was distracting officers, they actually told him it wasn't just a casual call they were dealing with an armed robbery, a witness also said the guy was cursing at the police too, he admitted later he should have complied with the request of the police but still thinks it was unfair what they did to his dog.
I feel really sorry for the dog, when I first saw the video I was hoping that one day the cops who did this would get shot in the face, but when I read the full story I changed my mind I just wished the dogs owner wasn't an idiot with a chip on his shoulder.
Besides anyone might have done the same with a huge dog like that growling at you if you had a gun.
And I think the guy did deserve to get arrested, it's annoying enough people playing loud music in cars near houses during the daytime but during an armed robbery response, when you have repeatedly been asked to turn the music down by several police officers, and instead he just gets out of the car and films the officers then allows his dog to lunge at them.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

See, another instance of where people should learn the entire story before jumping up and screaming "HOW DARE THEY DO [x]!!"
If you've been repeatedly told by the cops to shut the fuck up, especially in a situation where a violent crime has taken place, THEN YOU NEED TO SHUT THE FUCK UP! I still feel bad for the dog...not just because he got shot, but also because his owner was a moron.

Are we watching the same video? Because I see a guy walking back and forth across the street video taping whatever the fuck the cops were doing. He then puts the dog in the car. Then two cops walk towards him... who, btw, were supposed to be dealing with an armed robbery - or so they claimed but they broke off in order to accost this fellow. Then, as he walks towards the cops, sans dog, he gets to around 15 feet away from him and they apparently tell him to turn around and put his hands behind his back so they can cuff him...apparently for WWB - Walking While Black.
Then, after creating an incident, they shoot his fucking dog.
Sorry gang. I still say fire the whole lot of trigger happy motherfuckers.

Let's keep in mind that the dude that got cuffed had the wherewithal to put his dog in the car before continuing his conversation with societiy's finest. There was no physical resistance so I can only conclude that he was placed under arrest for 'saying' something.

You mean confirm, I'm claiming that I read something about this guy, that he was playing annoying loud music, the video shows that, his large dog lunged at the officers, the video shows that, the only thing that isn't confirmed is that the police were asking him to turn the music down, that's kind of confirmed since Rosby (the black guy) has admitted he should have complied when he was asked (according to the newspaper he spoke to).

He was the closest person to the police and he kept on harassing them during an armed robbery, they should have every right to put him in handcuffs. But here is where the cops fucked up. They told him to put the dog in the car, which I assume is because the figured that if they were going to arrest the guy they didn't want the dog attacking them while he was being arrested. But none of them had the brains to tell him to roll up the windows so the dog couldn't get out. He should have been arrested for obstruction, but the dog got shot because of lazy police work.

Quote: that he was playing annoying loud music,
Really, because on the tape I watched there was music playing but it wasn't loud enough to block out the voices of the two guys who were recording the guy with the dog.
I repeat - if they were really dealing with an armed robbery why were they so worried about what the guy with the dog was doing? He was no threat unless they planned to shoot the robber and didn't want any inconvenient video evidence. However, the mistrust of the cops in minority areas is such that any police activities brings out the cell phone cameras and for that fact the cops have no one to blame but themselves.

Hmmm... fascinating argument by the lawyer here.
http://www.lbpost.com/news/2000002065-ju...dxtKW0oFeG
Quote: federal court jury in Santa Ana has awarded $6.5 million to the family of Douglas Zerby. Relatives of the man shot and killed by police in 2010 had been asking for as much as $21.5 million in damages according to their lawsuit against the Long Beach Police Department and the City of Long Beach.
Quote:"Police didn't know that [Zerby was not committing a crime]," said Machit. "They didn't know if he was wanted or had dead bodies upstairs.''
Of course, they did not know that he DID, either. So naturally, they just blow him away as good cops seem to do.
