And what's your point? From what you've given us, your quotes, all we have is a (reasonable sounding) statistic: $34,000 puts you in the 1% (if we look at the world population), and then a countering statistic that basically points out that the first statistic might not be taking cost of living/purchasing power parity into consideration.
You've not told us anything about what Charles/his foundation said after, or what his broader point is. Just gone on about slavery like a numpty. Perhaps their point is that you should be wary of internationalist leftists who want to soak the 1%, you might not think they mean you, but they do. Perhaps they are just pointing out the hypocrisy or the lack of wisdom of some of the occupiers. Who knows, all I have is your nonsense about slavery. So I had to read the Huffington post article and watch the add to see what their point was (not that I'd trust your claims about what the add was about anyway). The add states that if you earn over 34k, you're in the 1% worldwide, you're relatively wealthy, which they claim is due to the economic freedom the U.S enjoys (when compared to other nations), though it's ranking/freedom is slipping. The article is about as information poor as your post, only adding that the advert aims to undermine protections for low and middle income americans and later that Charles is against the federal minimum wage law. Then right at the bottom of the article we see the hat tip to 'thinkprogress', which has all the 'information' (in more depth) that the HP article has, so no other research seems to have been done, the information has simply been taken from thinkprogress, then pruned. Below that is a slideshow of CEO's who look like villains. Apparently the Goldman Sachs CEO looks like Dr. Evil from Austin Powers.
Some conservatives might be obsessed with their money true, but leftists are obsessed with your money.
Put some more effort into your attacks please, this one seemed particularly lazy.

Lols, more likely about people who care about all people. The reason I am a "liberal" is because I have a conscience. The reason I am not rich (though definitely in the top 10%) is because I have seen the kind of person one has to become to be rich and I have no wish to be like them. As I said, you pretty much have to be a sociopath as they take particular joy in destroying their competition. They aren't all sociopaths of course as some are compassionate and caring people. But unfortunately they are not in the norm.
Greed is unbecoming regardless of what it is for. Money, food, sex, or whatever it is that one has an obsession with beyond what they need.
